I watched that Temple of th eDog thing again ( I had it on tape. ) This is exactly what it says. This week in 1992, Temple of the Dog's "Hunger Strike" debuted on 120 Minutes. Sorry for any confusion. _______________________________________________________ Get Private Web-Based Email Free http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 9 Jul 1997 00:06:07 -0700 From: Dave Subject: Re: 120 minutes They probably ment on this week in 91 the video for Hunger Strike debuted or something. Did any oneelse notice that all of Chris's answers that were related to questions like this were all really openendedandmabe evena sign of things to come? I found it really interesting to listen since they have broken up, becauseIkind of thought it was a signof things to come, I didn't think that at the time though. Doseanyonehave an opinionon this? And doseanyoneknow how rare the clear dotu vinal is? Just picked up on the following comments that were SG/Chris related... They must've been talking about the upcoming EndFest (all day concert with a bunch of bands) being held at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds. She said of all the places she had seen SG perform, that was her favorite place. She said because it was big enough, you could always find a way out. Then the deejay, Scott Alexander, asked her if Chris sang in the shower when he was younger and did she have to ask him to tone it down. She didn't remember him doing that, but said she does remember him singing a lot, even when he was very young. In the 70's she was in a folk group and while they were in the car, she and Chris would sing and harmonize together and he had a beautiful voice back then as well. Then Scott asked her if they sang (something I didn't catch) and she said, 'Oh no, it was the 70's. We were singing John Denver and stuff.' And that was all I got. Scott then thanked her for coming on the show and said, 'here is your son now,' as BIMH came over the airwaves. A very nice way to start out another (late) day of work. :)) Oops, they accidentally went into Never Named when they meant to go into the Mighty, Mighty Bosstones. Just can't get enough...! :) Bonnie (and now they're playing Hunger Strike...) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 9 Jul 1997 09:36:25 PDT From: The Koggle Subject: Re: Hands All Over >Does anyone have the battery operated 'Hands All Over Hand'. Yep it has been mentioned, and has been discussed. Long before the album came out it was mentioned in the media that when Soundgarden shared the stage with Prodigy (Australia, Big Day Out?), Prodigy sampled Matt's drums, presumably from the sound board. This same subject was mentioned today, and a few days ago. Steve and another sommster were trying to figure out what song on the Prodigy disc used Matt. Last night I had another dream, just with Chris in it though: I was walking along U-District in Seattle, and I ran across Krist Novoselic and we started chatting like normal, since I've already met him, he remember who I was. Anyway when we were done talking, Chris walks by, and he smiled at me. And Chris and Krist ran into eachother and Krist asked him how he was doing, and Chris said, I'm doing great! And I could hear just close enough, when Chris leaned towards his ear and whispered, "I'm working on a solo project and I'm almost finished" And Krist Novoselic was getting all excited-so was I. My eyes got all big, and my jaw dropped. As I said, "I knew you would Chris" Then I realized I shouldn't have said anything, because Chris started to look disappointed that someone else had heard what he was saying. Anyway...just another useless post...from someone really bored. Oh yeah, Chris's Birthday is on the 20th.... Subject: Look whos turning 33......=] I have this idea of a gift for Chris' birthday. Do anybody like to write poetry? Maybe some of you would be interested in contributing to a poem for Chris we could send him for his birthday. This is a cheap, yet very personal and nice gift. You could compose a verse and send it to me. Some humor would help to keep it lite. Your name would be by your verse. maybe like this: You rock my world, ( by DustyGrrl) like in the movie, you scream like a banshee, I think your so groovy! This is NOT actually what Im gonna write or nothin =] I would then put the verses together. Once the poem was done, I would send you all a copy. If everyone likes it, I would then send it onto to sgfc@speakeasy.org, which is Silver Mgmt so far as I know. If you have a better email address, lemme know. I think this would be a cool, personal gift from Somms, or at least some of us. Dont be shy! Cmon. Tell the man what you really think of him!
