I noticed this too. At certain points during the show he WAS playing
left handed. I kind of dismissed it thinking it was probably just me
seeing things.
And he did seem to do a lot of interviews backstage there...

Id love it as well if Soundgarden got back together to do an
album next year, but from my experiences with reading that magazine, Hit
Parader is VERY VERY out dated. I mean PAINFULLY out dated. I remember
an instance where a while back I picked up the latest copy off the
shelves at the drug store and I read an article that mentioned Kurt
Cobain and the overdose he had in Rome (was it Rome?) It said that Kurt
was alive and doing well and dealing with his drug habit. Mind you, at
the time I was reading this, Kurt had been in his grave for a few
months. And thats not the only example Ive seen of Hit Paraders
"sluggish journalism" (???), but it's the most vivid one that comes to
mind. And I'm not making this up, why would I make it up? I'm a
Soundgarden fan and I wouldnt mind having a new SG album.

Of course, it could be true, but considering the source I wouldnt
count on it. :(

Hey y'all,
I'm sure alot of you already know this, but for those of you who don't, I'll
fill you in. We former headbangers who used to read that mag years ago know
that sHit Parader is just that: full of shit. They are notorious for making
up their interviews and touting them as facts. Sorry to disappoint you, but
I think we all know that this idea is as ridiculous as 2Pac staging his
death.

Subject: Im back!!!

Woohoo!!! I'm finally back from a week of family vacation hell in Branson
(the country music capital of the world!!!). Anyway, while I was there I had
a lot of time to think during those shitty country shows. I think I have
finally figured why Superunknown stands out so much among the other CD's-
its the drums!!!!!!! I say this as a guitar player too. Many people say
that certain songs just "take them away." Head Down is the song that does
that for me. So I sat down and listened to it closely, and I noticed that
those soft symbol crashes that are going through the verses have a tendancy
to loll me to sleep. Also the snare in that song is coo with all that off
beat stuff.

Superunknown is another drum song. Think about what the driving force in the
chorus is. I think it is the drums going off on every beat. Just listen,
you'll hear it.

All through the album you can hear great drum songs if you listen closely.
Great job Matt! (Boy I have a great namesake!)

Oh yeah, that reminds me of another pointless coincidence. I am named Matt,
my little bro is Ben, and my mom is Kim! Wow, huh? Sorry, no Chris. :)

~Matt (lead guitarist of Phage)

P.S.- You know that you're obcessed w/ Soundgarden when you are at a country
music show in Branson and all you can think about is how coo it would be if
SG jumped up on stage, kicked all of the country guys asses, and decided to
start their reunion tour right there. hehehehehe

i'm sure someone else has already said this, but the likes of Hit Parader
and Circus are NOT reliable sources of information. they never have been.
they have always been the national enquirers of the rock world.

i just don't want to see people get their hopes up for nothing.

I read somewhere that when Chris gets on stage he's in a world of his own.
Maybe that's the difference you are talking about. Sometimes after playing
a show the performers go and change clothes too. He could play left handed
and right handed but in MY WAVE I think you have to use both hands on the
fretboard. I don't know .... just a thought or two.

Hey people,

I was at this imports page and I came across 2 nifty Soundgarden thingies.

1. An INTERVIEW Cd. I am not sure if it is the one that is being talked
about. It is selling for $ 17.99

2. BADMOTORFINGER WOODEN BOX. Does anyone know anything about this? It
is selling for $ 125.99 so it must be pretty rare! I think it said it was
an import from Germany.

Please respond!

Does anyone know which of these is rarer. Superunknown on clear vinyl or
gold vinyl? Any idea how many were pressed? Are they worth $15 bucks
each (plus $3 for shipping) This guy is also selling Superunknown on
'colored' vinyl for $20. Is that worth it?

Thanx, Rich
