I think that sending personal interpretations of the songs to the list would
be very interesting. One of my favourites spanish bands are 'Heroes del
silencio', who some people hates because they write very dark lyrics, but i
personally think that's one of the great things of the band - they know how to
write things besides 'Oh girl i love you and i will never forget you'. And
i think SG lyrics are very special in that way (or maybe i'm to stupid to
understand them). What i'm trying to say is that i spent many hours talking
with my friends about that lyrics, and it's very interesting, you learn a lot
of things, not only about the song and the band, but other the people you are
talking to, and other ways you can look al life (wow, sounds phylosophic :-)

 So, if you agree, i think we could start a thread about that, discusing
everyone's point of view about the songs, correcting, or just commenting.

And i'll start asking something:

I think i understand 'Slaves & Bulldozers' (correct me if i dont) It talks
about somebody who's gonna send his girlfriend to hell, because she just wanted
to use him, playing with the boy and his feelings. I think i'm right because
once i was in that situation :-( and i felt every word in that song as mine.
Now, supossing i'm right, please somebody tell me:

- What the hell does the title mean (slaves & bulldozers isn't my idea of a
 feelings-love-related thing)

Thanx for your patient reading.

I almost forgot! If somebody thinks this isn't an interesting thread, and most
of you dont want to follow this, i would thank if somebody interested emailed
me so we could get with it privately.

P.S.: dont cry for me, i just found another girl, much better than the other
one ;-)

Subject: Zero Chance: Personal Interpretation

I've always seen Zero Chance as being the continuation of Chris' grieving over
Andrew Wood's death. I see it as a sequal to Say Hello 2 Heaven.

 Elisabeth Kubler-Ross identified five stages of mourning and grieving. These
 are:
      1. Denial: "No, not me - it can't be true." also "numbness"
      2.  Anger:  "Why me?"
      3. Bargaining: "If I had done (do) this maybe I could (can) change
 things".
      4.  Depression
      5. Acceptance: At peace with reality

I see Say Hello...as Chris dealing with the first two, *denial*("Please,
mother mercy Take me from this place.." and "Now I'm warm from the candle But
I feel too cold to burn") and *anger* ("He hurt so bad like a soul breaking
But he never said nothing to me"-the way he sings this as much as the words -
and "Now it seems like too much love Is never enough, you better seek out
another road cause this one has ended abrupt..."). In fact this song expresses
these two emotions, mixed in with the love and confusion, better than any I've
ever heard.

Then Zero Chance seems to deal with the next two, *bargaining* and *depression*:

Bargaining: "They say if you look hard you'll find your way back home"
To me this line is asking Andy to come back, that he could if he tried hard
enough. I had a very close friend die when I was 18 and I felt that way, all I
wanted was to have him back.

Depression: To me the whole song is about depression "I think I know the
answer I stumbled on and all the world fell down and all the sky went silent,
cracked like glass and slowly tumbled to the ground" and of course "I'm
thinking of your highness and crying long upon the loss" and "why doesn't
anyone believe in loneliness"

And finally, "Zero chance of ever turning this around" may be *acceptance*

I love this song (which took on extra significance for me just after the
breakup) and see it as another excellent, emotional treatise on grief, but a
bit further on in the process than Say Hello.

Well, the geocities mail server decided to finally get it's butt back
online, so here I am with the task of soaking in all the info about this
thread which I found rather interesting.

There are some SG songs which I like right away, and continue to like them,
and will always like them..such as Beyond the Wheel, Overfloater, S & B,
etc..

Then there are some songs which at first glance I don't necessarily like
them at first, but they do tend to grow on me, and I can usually pick out
points in the song which just make it unique and worth listening too...

Circle of Power - yeah, most people don't seem to like it, and I could also
do without without Hiro screaming away, but if you listen to the guitars
behind the screaming, you'll find the song kicks alot of ass. Kim has a
great riff which explodes into a fill which just blows me away everytime.

Little Joe - yeah, it is better live, nuff said.

Ty Cobb - eh, it'd be better without the mandolins...

And I don't remember who it was (maybe Jamie the somms mom? I may be wrong
on this), but I remember somebody saying most of the stuff on UMOK was
pretty bad. Well, I'd really have to disagree here, I think some of their
greatest stuff is in this ablum, Beyond the Wheel being obvious, but
Flower, All Your Lies, 667, Head Injury, Incessant Mace, they are just
such great powerful songs...

Anyway enough rambling now and back to the drudgery that is highschool....

Disclaimer: the views expressed are not necessarily in touch with
reality, nor are they necessarily interesting to read.

1. Since christian iconic symbolism is so prevalent in Western
   culture/American culture, it's not really suprising that Chris Cornell
   appropriates christian imagery for his lyrics. Just because
   Chris Cornell uses christian symbolism doesn't mean he still
   considers himself a christian. His responses in interviews indicate
   that he does not use the imagery to, for example, defend
   christianity or even to criticize religion. It's possible that he
   chooses the symbols (jesus christ pose, holy water, heretic, hand
   of god, etc) because of their evocative power rather than for
   their religous significance.

2. A guy I had in a class a whole year ago came up to me and asked
   me how I felt about "the breakup". I thought it was cool he
   remembered how I love soundgarden when he didn't even remember my
   name.

personally, i rather enjoy reading about other people's sg dreams. it
comforts me to know there are other's like me out there that can be just as
"pathetic". but it's not at all pathetic mind you. it's common knowledge
that when you let your brain wander it will usually fall into subjects that
may scare you, excite you, or hell.. even make you a little happy. your
dreams can also consist of your last thoughts before you go to bed. so
usually the last thing i think about before hitting the sack would have to
be.... hmmm.. you guessed it, sg. and what usually makes me happy is.. you
gussed right again.. god you're good, sg. i feel that sharing the same dream
subjects or ideas is a great bonding method and i hope it continues....

actually, i don't have one as of now, but since i'll be allowing my brain to
wander
in a few hrs. i just might have a nice new one to share w/ u all tomorrow
morning...... good night

are you kidding? this is the first time i have heard of a fan who does not
like outshined. its a great song. ty cobb is good too. have to agree though
 about zero chance, rhinosaur, dusty etc. a few of the songs on dotu get
pretty tired pretty quick

my #1 SG song of the moment has to be Big Dumb Sex, but nobody else seems to
mention it. it too is a great raw song.

hey all you loveable sommsters!

it is yet another whyareyoupostingthis post from the one, the only, Nadezhda
Vivian Ball!!! yay! crowd goes wild! rah!

anyway......the crack has a steady flow in mi cranuim. alright today, well
it's like 3 in the am, so it was yesterday. anyway yesterday, my boy from
boston came to visit me, for like a day. he wanted to get a tattoo, rebel
forces from star wars. and i wanted one too, of the auryn from the
neverending story, i had the muny and everything, but i was underage. and in
nyc, there's some law about you cannot permanately scar a minor even with
parental consent. i was kinda pissed cuz i finally got all my courage up to
do it and bear the pain, even though i had no problem w/ gettin my tongue
pierced. it also pissed me off cuz if i had kept my big mouth shut and not
asked the question of can i bring my mom in, he would have done it. cuz all
these hoochies from the high school around the corner came in looking all
young asking him all these questions, and he ignored them. but he was talkin
to me pricing my tat, recommending things to me and shit. he didn't even
check my boy's id. now here's the soundgarden part, it's minor, but important
to me. no, me or my boy did not get a sg tat. they had tapes that you could
chose from to listen to while you wuz gettin yer tat. i looked and all they
had was like offspring and in utero and crappy nyc indie bands. i almost
formed a frown until i saw badmotorfinger. i was like wow i'm gonna get my
tat to bmf!!! this was before i found out i cannot get scarred for life. so
they started werkin on my boy and the guy who was just chillin around for no
apparent reason changed the nin tape and put it in cuz he heard me talkin
bout it. it played on swmgec, i was like that's my fav song. this guy just
did that out of the goodness of his heart, he told me so. well at least my
boy from bean town can say he got his tat to the side b (was that it, i dunno
cds have invaded mi cranium). he's all tryin to play it off that he don't
like the boys from the garden, but he knows all the werds to like every one
of their songs, and forms a smile when he hears them. whatever. i thought the
funniest part was when the hoochies came in and saw me all jammin along to
the songs, and were like why is dis black bitch chillin to this music.

there was my post, no declarations of love, just clarifactions of it, cuz i
had to let ya know who was who and what was what. it was idiotic rambling,
but if you got this far, i give you a big hug.

About Zero Chance, I never really thought of the song in that way. I always
took it literally, being alone and shit. I do know that that song has helped
me through some lonely nights, even though it made me even more depressed,
but at least it made me feel more comfortable with it. I must say that now
that I think about it, the song could totally be interpeted like that. I mean
Andy's passing had a real big impact on Chris. I have friends that have been
gone for years, but I still grieve, and maybe write an occasional story about
it. But I guess we'll never know, unless we ask the big CC himself. Yo dude!
You out there? Give us a sign, tell us what it all means!

<<and *anger* ("He hurt so bad like a soul breaking
But he never said nothing to me"-the way he sings this as much as the words -
and "Now it seems like too much love Is never enough, you better seek out
another road cause this one has ended abrupt...").>>

Tru tru. I think that any singer can make a song mean so much more with
his/her voice, but for some reason when Chris sings either of those songs, or
any song for that matter, it sounds as though he's putting his whole essence
into it. It makes his werds even truer than they already are, they twist the
song into a new emotion, not even a song anymore. The wonderful thing is that
he doesn't do this alone, it's not that he has the help of a guitar or a bass
or drums, but that they are Kim and Ben and Matt, doing the same thing and
they all become one, producing a sound so....so right on, it's so beautiful,
even the upbeat fun songs and the songs we're not too fond of. You don't
think of them seperately, unless you want to, you let it flow, you let it
take you. Is this sounding a lil bit too sappy, and i'm reading way too deep
into this? Or am I telling you something you already know? Huh? Answer me!
Well, who cares cuz I don't, that's just what I feel when I listen to them.
Well I must go cuz Rocky and Bullwinkle and Boris and Natasha are beconking
me, and then it's off to dreamland......zzzz. Catch me some z's. Hey look I
got one, I'll put it in a jar.

Well number one, kid from the SpanishUnknown, a song is how you interpert it,
but as far as Chris goes, I think he said it's just a song about being an
asshole, being human, and how people can't or don't want to deal with it. I
forget whose interpertation that is, his or mine or both. The title? I don't
know, he said something about how he heard a lil kid say it, but I still
don't understand how that fits into the song. But then again, i can, if I
just payed attention to things that I just typed. Possibly we can see it like
this, you feel like yer a slave to people and yer being pushed around too
much, and this is a way to break free from it, blow off some steam, but then
again, this is just my interpertation. Okay enuf from the girl that is Alive
in the UrbanUnknown.

I just saw that someone added Show Me to the list. Well I must say that I
forgot to add that one, and that was kinda top of the list. I mean what is
going on in that song? Sorry but to me, it sounds like glam rock, break out
the lycra. I did happen to get used to it though, cuz I'm a sucker like that.
I just stopped tryin to look at it on the deep level, and saw it as fun. I
think the disappointment basically came from knowing that this did not
represent good sg songs. I mean if yer gonna have a song on a compilation
album, put something good, I mean really good. Another song that really jumps
my gasket is Rhinosaur, why do you ask, they play it too goddamn much on KROC
(local NYC area station). They don't even play sg, but when they do, it's
fukin Rhinosaur. I'm just happy that they do get airplay. It just kinda
pisses me off cuz they have better songs, singles even, that they could play.
I mean right at that moment some possible sg fan could turn it off cuz it
gets on their nerves, but then that song could turn someone on to them, but
whatever...besides the point... I guess I just don't see why that song is
having it's pee shee stroked nicely. Ty Cobb used to rub me the wrong way
too, but it's sounding a lot nicer everytime I hear it. I dunno, I think the
upbeatness put on some puppy dog eyes and suckered me into it. Otay, I hope
that's it. I hope that my brain is empty from all of the songs that bear
unfondness in them, except for some LTL songs that I promised myself I would
not look at cuz i'd be up well into next week. Alright, now I'm done.

i have to say that upon hearing Little Joe on SL/F <me waves to nikki..
hehe> i didn't really like it too much, i listened to it and didn't hate
it or anything, but it didn't reach out and grab me or anything..

but after watching motorvision there was something that made me pay
attention.. weird, but after i saw it, i wanted to get the cd back out
and play it over and over again.. anyone have the same experience?

yeah, he sings with a higher voice than most, but that's what's so great
about it.. same with Beyond the Wheel.. shows his awesome range..

but on the other hand.. i can't stand Tears to Forget..*shudder*
that's why i hate most really really heavy metal stuff too.. it doesn't
sound like you would need talent to do it.. just yelling and thrashing
and not much else.. i like to think of soundgarden as Intell-i-genttt :)
but hey, if you like metal, that's fine.. this here is MY opinion..

ahh i am also musically ignorant enough to not have heard of Ave Maria
before now (i'm not even sure if i'm spelling it correctly! Ava? bahh)
so whatever Chris does will be wonderful on my ears :)

later, i'm off to go sniffle and cough under my covers to the comfort of
SG.. they are sooooo great when you're sick, notice that? :)

any SG songs that I don't like. At all. There are only ones that I love
more than some others. I love listening to any one of their albums,
because each one speaks to me in a completely different way, and represents
so many different things and emotions to me personally. A certain song, a
certain event, my friends that were there... you know the stuff. Which is
why they are my favourite band of course! I only have to hear the first
couple of notes from The Day I Tried to Live to know that it doesn't get

You say whatever you want, but i still don't like Little Joe.
But there were some songs mentioned here...
I love Ty Cobb, it's pure energy, the same goes to tears to forget. Maybe that
one is too simple to SG music, but i still like it (and i dont like heavy metal)
But Ty Cobb, i'd like to see somebody in the hard rock side trying to make that
kind of music, that energy, and with a, somehow, complex melody. Specially the
last part, everyone is playing at maximum power, it sound like coming from an
explossion, but it still has a melody under that, and everything fits perfectly.
In fact, the last seconds of Ty Cobb are in my favourites SG moments list, and
in the first places, along with Mind Riot's intro, SWMGEC ending, Jesus Christ's
guitars and some other heavenly sounds :-)

 And I agree with some others who mentioned LTL, isn't a bad LP (It has many,
many, many good songs) but, i think it needs something, dunno, maybe cos it's
a transition album, it doesn't have the darkness of Ultramega (which i love)
nor the perfection of Badmotorfinger.

You see, this is the positive thing about talking bout music.
First, i dont think anybody has still written about the real meaning of the
song (except N. Ball - sorry i cant spell your name, and im too lazy to look
it :-). Maybe i was too restrictive in the meaning at the first moments, the
same as you who wrote about the company execs. It just talk about using people,
best, when people uses you, until one day you decide to send them to hell.
If you analize the lyrics, it can be interpreted almost in any case fitting
this pattern. And even the title makes sense - Slaves (you) and bulldozers
(people who uses you - they try to destroy everything they dont like - just like
bulldozers). Thanx a lot to all that people who contributed.

And, about Zero Chance, what a good interpretation. I didn't ever think of that
like remembering somebody dead, i thought that was just a depressing song. I
usually ignore every reference to dead, because i'm obsesed (is that good
english?) with it, whenever i'm depressed i think of it, and i find everything
dead related.

And now i'll stop writing this shit, cos i've realized its clear. Bye

Hi guys!

Have any of you ever seen Rugrats on Nickelodeon? It's probably my
daughter's favorite show. Actually it's really good and funny; they put
in alot of adult jokes too. Anyway, all the music is done by Mark
Mothersbaugh. Do you recognize that name? He's the guy from Devo, and
he wrote Girl U Want. You'll see his name on the SOMMS credits. So
there's a SG reference. Wait, it gets even better! Last week there was
an episode where Chuckie (the wimpy kid) hit his head and Anjelica (the
evil brat) told him that he was going to become a rhinocerous because he
was growing a horn on his head. (She's so bad!) Since the characters
are babies, they don't always pronounce things right. Tommy (the star)
went around the whole show telling Chuckie that it would be OK even if
he did turn into a RHINOSAUR!!! I couldn't believe it! I can't even
count how many times he said the word rhinosaur. This cartoon would
have been made pre-DOTU. Did SG watch Rugrats? Exactly where did they
come up with that song name? ;) I found it kind of funny anyway.

Subject: words from 'a grump'

I just got the new issue of Guitar magazine (Keith Richards cover) and
thought you all might enjoy the brief Wellwater Conspiracy article
contained within (there's a nice color picture, too).

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
None Dare Call It Soundgarden
by Tom Gogola   --Guitar  October 1997
     "My name is Zeb.  Ben  Shepherd doesn't exist on this album, and
that's the way it should be.  People should hear it for what it is, and
not for who is playing on it."
     That's Ben Shepherd, bassist for the now-defunct Soundgarden, doing
a slow-burn about being outed by Guitar World as the singer on
Declaration of Conformity (Third Gear), the debut album by Wellwater
Conspiracy.  With Soundgarden cohort Matt Cameron playing guitar on a
Syd Barrett cover and contributing vocals on a few other tracks, this
psychedelic meltdown is the first post-breakup release by any of the
Soundgarden members.
     The Conspiracy came together when former Monster Magnet guitarist
John McBain asked Shepherd and Cameron to perform on some tracks he'd
written.  "The thing about John's songs that I liked," says Shepherd,
"is that I hear the melodies immediately.  I don't like any of my
singing, but most people don't like what they do, anyway."
     But Shepherd clearly enjoyed being in Soundgarden, one of the most
successful bands of the grunge decade.  What's life like now for him?
     "I usually don't answer my phone anymore, and nobody's called,
anyway.  I'm trying not to plan anything for the time being.  I'm not
glad, or sad, or anything.  It's all hollow.  I'm going to rewire my
house so it doesn't burn down, then set up a studio so I don't have to
leave except to get the newspaper.  I'm a grump."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

...and there you have it.

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to ask who lived in the New England area. I live in
Kingston, MA, next to Plymouth. If you do, and are going to High School,
where? I go to Boston College High School. I transferred in from Silver
Lake Regional High School this year. I think that BC is for the typical
"Kyle Petty, Son of Richard" type kids. It sucks. Here I am, an
endangered species in BC. SOMEONE who's life is music. Everyone else is
like an asshole. "Look at that fag over there. He likes Soundgarden.
heheheheh! They suck. 2-pac would take them all on." I hate people like
that. Then their attitude gets way out of hand if you say something back

about killing people. How fucked up is that. Man, I hate BC.

Hey supersomms,

If there is going to be unreleased stuff on the Tribute if/when it comes
out, it could contain these two songs:

'A Broom'
'How Should I Know?'

They are mentioned in the book 'New Metal Crown' as never having seen the
light of day, but they were demoed for 'BadMotorFinger', and apparently
they are really cool songs. Has anyone heard them? I wouldn't think
so because it says that the band is still in posession of the tape, but
I wonder does that mean A&M would have a copy, or access to a copy?

Hmmm. Oh well, just a thought.

Subject: that interpretation thing

I don't think so much that we can say a song is specifically about this or that,
 but more so what they mean to us and how we personally interpret them and the
 feelings or emotions that they incite in us as individuals. Slaves and
 Bulldozers is a perfect example in that a year ago when I listened to it, it
 had a completely different meaning for me than it does now, and that all just
 has to with where I am in my life and the shit that's going on. Same with
 Drawing Flies, Mind Riot, Mailman, Pretty Noose... I could go on and on. And
 then there are the songs that we know, because we've heard the band's
 explanations, what they mean. But still, even though I know Chris wrote Like
 Suicide about a bird that crashed into a wall in his living room that he had to
 put out of misery with a cynder block, it doesn't mean that to me. Fourth of
 July isn't about an acid trip to me. I won't bore you with details of how I
 interpret these songs, it's very personal to me anyway, but I just though!
t !
I'd put my two cents in. Feel fr
ee to interpret away...

Hello somms! it's niki, i'm on my computer at school, so this will be a
strange address. hopefully this will go through to you guys...

 Justin... man, you are more than a genius. I just read the whole Mind
Riot Song of the Month review. Seth- great pick. Justin- you nearly made
me cry.

 First off, this is my favorite Soundgarden song, i do believe i've
finally realized that fact. it has an effect on me like nothing i've
ever encountered before- be it song, human, book, poem, whatever- and i
get so much more than choked up every time i listen. this song, to me,
hits right in the dead of my heart. it strikes that cord in you that
makes you sit on your bed in a daze, not believing what you've just
heard coming from your speakers, and just stare into space for the
entire duration of the song. jesus christ, the feeling felt like i was
going to die, it was that strong. I do believe this song was what caused
me to think that SG were truly musical genuises <sp?> and were going to
be stuck in my heart forever.
  I just could not even understand how one man, one single person, write
such a beautiful piece of music like this. and beautiful can't even
encompass what it really is. there just isn't a word strong enough.
there's so much inside this song... it just makes me feel so special for
having the chance to hear something like this. priviledged that chris
cornell decided to share it with the general population. if i could ever
capture something like that in words, in music, in emotion... i don't
think i'd ever be unhappy again.
  I know i'm rambling, babbling on like a lovesick puppy, but after
reading Justin's review, i just totally re-realized what the song meant
to me, how much it affects me.
  See, i can't even get my feelings out here. I write a lot, plan on
writing for the rest of my life, no matter what it is i do, but I lose
touch of my words when I get so deeply touched by another persons
writing. and i also write ridiculously long run-ons that don't make any
sense. = ) so sorry if i made no sense, and sorry for babbling like an
idiot, but i more than appreciated this months song of the month.

 you guys really touched me this time. = ) thanks.

     Well I had my first Soundgarden moment yesterday.. yup I'm a moment
     virgin no longer ;) I was watching a tv show called the Naked Truth
     when the one of the stars (Tea Leoni) was talking to her boss about
     changing his image. He had grown a small under-lip goatee and she
     wanted to know where he got the idea and he looked in a magazine and
     said 'I really like the look of those Soundvision guys' and she said
     'Thats Soundgarden' and he said ' Soundgarden beergarden whatever'
     And that my friends, was it. The first time I have ever heard
     Soundgarden mentioned on a tv show out of the music context. Woohoo!
     Aahhhh I feel better. :)

Subject: Harassment and other things

Hello everyone..

I was at guitar lessons yesterday when I realized that I'm subject to
harassment every week. You see, it's rather apparent that I'm a SG
freak (as most o us are, or so it seems..) So it figures that April
15th Steve and Andy would say something. I didn't expect it to last
this long! I walk in the door of Helmers and the first thing I hear is
"Hey, did you hear they broke up?" And that got a little boring for
Andy (who isn't even my teacher!) so it's evolved to things such as
"Hey, I hear Chris and Michael Bolton formed a band.." and yesterday
was the worst. "Hey, do you loike Star Wars? Cuz Chris reminds me of
Chewbacca, and that other one (Matt) looks like Luke Skywalker..." It
doesn't really bother me, because it's all in good fun... but in the
middle of learning Head Injury (which is really hard to play!) Andy
popped his head inthe door and he and Steve started a back and forth
improv thing, that went something like this.
Andy: "Hey, did you hear they got back together?"
Steve: "Oh yeah, I head that yesterday!"
Me: "Mmmhmm. whatever you say, Andy."
Andy: "It's true! They're back together!"
Steve: "you didn't hear, Andy?"
Andy: "What?"
Steve: "They broke up this morning."
Andy: "Again?"
Steve: "Yeah."
Andy "Losers."
And he left. Next time I'm just gonna tell him off. It's been, what,
almost 5 months now? ANyway.. I knew I had smoething else to say... oh!
At school today, in Art. I fell subject (yet again) to stupid people!
We're suposed to draw symbols that represent us and all this stuff that
I wont bore you with. So me, like any fan, draws the SG symbol thing.
(The one on the Ultramega vinyl and the Pretty Noose disk.. and all over
Seth's page..) As soon as this guy (unfortunatly named Chris..) spots
hit he goes: "Whoa! A Nazi sign! Cool!" So of course the whole class
has to have a look and now they think I'm a nazi or something. No one
believed my explination, or if they did they think that SG are nazi's
too. And you wouldn't believe the amount of things that I hear about my
fork! "Is that a fork?" "It that some sex sign?" "Do you eat with
that?" "Are you going to kill someone withthat thing?" "Are you like a
cannible?" Jesus Christ! Well.. that's my post of the week, so I made
it good and long. Pardon my frustrations!

Theres one more really scary thing I noticed about Rugrats... I was
coloring on my friends little sister's rugrats card thing...and I
colored Chuckie's hair black... he looks like a little Chris!!
Otherwise the otes resemble Gwen (Angelica) and Billy Corgan (Tommy)but
I wont get into that, since this is a SG list, and I don't want to start
up the whole Chris/Billy shit again. Anyway, just my thoughts!

i had the same moment, you must be in australia too, not that it was that
amazing. Maybe we can all have more of these moments when the guys are older
and less popular and can make cameo appearances or something.

while im here thought id mention another idea for a thread. while i was
reading back digests of somms, (or maybe it was CV-the fnm/bungle list) people
posted their top ten albums / bands of all time. it may not seem SG related
but its interesting to see what other music others listen to and it may get
you onto some great new music! which can't be all bad. it may or may not
include SG albums. might incite some of that old zest and flaming.
as for me here goes in no particular order not including SG.

* stone temple pilots - core
* Faith No More - the real thing
* Faith No More - album of the year
* nirvana             - nevermind
* metallica           - black album
* Alice in Chains - dirt
* Black Sabbath       - paranoid
* pennywise           - full circle
* The Tea Party - transmission
* The Crow soundtrack

as for SG, its badmotorfinger and superunknown, although i like them all.
call me a commercialist scumbag if you will
maybe this will pick up, maybe not,
anyway

I just bought Ultramega OK this week, and on about track 6, it's
supposed to be Circle of Power, and it's not. Can anyone tell me what
the track before Circle of Power is? Thanks.

can anyone give me a listing of the "songs that weren't"? meaning songs
that were meant to be on albums but were cut. i remember ben saying in
an interview that there are generally around 25 songs for an album and
they are cut from there.

correct me if i'm wrong, but i think that "flutter girl" was to be on SU
and "christi","karaoke", "kyle petty, son of richard" were to be on
DOTU. what else for these albums or others.

p.s. seth, this might make a neat little trivia section for the site! :)
