Some people have been talking about how they're looking forward to Chris' solo album, but I'm going to have to disagree. I WAS looking forward to hearing it until someone posted the article saying that Eleven is working with him again. What's with that?? I think that Chris' solo effort on Seasons was brilliant; obviously the man is gifted. If his solo effort was going to be his ideas alone, then it would be wonderful. I just don't like Eleven's brand of music. While I loved the vocals Chis did on Ave Maria, I found the song jarring, and I believe that was Natasha's fault. I guess he is buddies with them and he wants to work with his friends. Maybe they give him a confidence boost at this time of going out on a limb by himself. But I think they will have too much influence on the overall sound of the songs he writes. If he were to get some lesser known musicians, or at least some that don't have such a distinctive sound on their own, I think that Chris' songwriting would probably be more prevalent in the finished songs. Yes, I'm jumping the gun on this. And I WILL reserve judment on it until I've heard it for myself. I'm just not waiting for it with bated breath like I once was. Life Rules!
