Hey everyone,

I know it's slightly delayed, but I saw PJ last saturday and they were
wonderfullllll! I have the bruises and the lungs full of dust to prove
it. I know everyone else has come on here and said how well Matt played,
and I definitely don't disagree, but I'd like to say that I noticed a
few variations from Pearl Jam's albums (when you listen to them over and
over you get to know every little beat)... And that got me thinking that
maybe his drumming with Soundgarden was possibly more complicated than
his current work with Pearl Jam... like.. he felt relaxed enough with
their songs and the drumming parts that go along with it that he added
extra beats and fills.. what do you guys think?

READ THIS BEFORE REPLYING:
Now i have to put this little disclaimer thing in so everyone doesn't go
apeshit at me. I love both SG and PJ and all their members. I know Pearl
Jam isn't a verse chorus verse kinda band.. their songs have variation
in them, of course. I have just noticed that Soundgarden show more wacky
time signatures and strange bridges in the middle of their songs than
Pearl Jam. That's all. No attacking anyone here. (wacky and strange are
GOOD ok?!?!)

Koggle

ps. the Soundgarden Webring now has almost 50 members! Yay! :)

HEY KIDS. It's me again.

I don't mean to burst anyone's bubble about this, but I think Eddie ment
that it would probably be just Matt on drums with them, and possible one
other member of SG (probably Chris) on tour with them. I seriously
doubt it means reunion.

Just a take on matters from the original pretty noose

the reason you hear the same beats with pearl jam is simple. JACK IRONS IS
TERRIBLE!!!!!!! the older stuff with the two daves (especially krusen) was
much more fun. i recently bought my first Eleven cd. i had no i dea jack was
in Eleven. and he sucked then like he sucks now. so boring!!!!!!!! just a
though

of all, a lot of people can keeps beats, but theyre not in some huge band.
he sucks. face it!

I always thought of it like this:
This has nothing to do with skill, just style.

The Daves are the drummers you see on MTV.

Jack Irons is the drummer in your dad's band.

Matt Cameron is the drummer in your friend's band.

IMUSIC PAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you know that an A-Sides album is coming out? Or that Chris Cornell is
doing "Ave Maria" for A Very Special Christmas? :)

Hi
I gotta brag again. I went into a record store on the far side of town
for the first time today. I scored a few goodies inluding my own copy of

SOMMS. Whoo Hoo! Also worthy of bragging on is this giant poster of the
pretty noose single cover. Its got the silhouette picture of the guys
that I saw on a T-shirt somewhere. anyway, add me to the list of somms
owners.
later,
Jim

Hehe, I noticed tons of new stuff Matt threw in, especially on "Alive"
and "Yellow Ledbetter"... damn, he's good! I agree with Koggle, he's
basically out there to have fun, and that's half the fun of the whole
mess--improv! Pearl Jam rocked the house here in Seattle, and in my
opinion the show wouldn't have been HALF as good without the Mattster
behind the skins (Not that I have anything against Jack, but yes, he
does suck)... and it doesn't matter that I'm obsessed with Matt! That
did nothing to distort my opinion at all!!! *evil grin*
