A little unclear on that statement. Silenced by Seth? You mean, you
couldn't even post to the list?

Heheheh. =)
Well...that's not true for most of us....some people seem to make a
profession out of it though (you know who you are).

I mean, I respect all of Seth's accomplishments and the fact he is even
still running this list to keep us Soundgarden fans together....but you
gotta draw the line somewhere...

I was amazed by the radio this morning. Every week day they do The
10:40 Coffee Break in which they play 3 songs by a featured band, ie.
someone in the news, with a birthday, or whatever. Well, since they
don't do this feature on Sat. and that was Matt's birthday, I was bowled
over when for today's (Monday's, ok it's late here) was Soundgarden in
honor of Matt's birthday! They played Spoonman, Pretty Noose, and
Outshined.

Also my review and pictures from the Mark Lanegan shows are up on my
page now. It's a slow download, but there's a lot there and lots to
look at. http://www.citynet.net/personal/sightsound/ Click on Aural
Fixations.

I just remembered why one of the quotes that I gave, cracked me up so much,
when I heard it. This was back on the 94 tour and the Stone Temple Pilots had
just released a radio single called Vaseline which recycled the She's A
Politician guitar riff, so when Chris took that jab at STP from the stage, I
figured that he must have heard that song as well. Has any member of the band
ever commented in interviews about that, or any other rip-off songs?

That would be a cool topic...what other SG rip off songs annoy you?

I noticed Chris Cornell's name on the cover of Alternative Press this
week (the one with the pic of Rage Against The Machine on the cover). I
haven't gotten it yet; could someone tell me if it gives enough new info on
the solo album to be worth buying?

Since Ben is so talkative, I figured I'd give a quick "Ben" quote. Ben's

your balls to yourselves"...

jen grover will agree with me on this fav ben quote of mine...

scene setup: in the middle of the big grunge explosion, i believe something
was going on around a pool... some photo shoot or something (right jen?)

ben says: "i wonder if they'll throw a baby in there."

I can't say i find what ben says amusing. Chris and Matt are though (don't
know about kim). My favorite matt quote was when he described the music
industry as being the crusty old man trying to take a crap but it won't
come out.

if any of you have heard the new (yes NEW) black sabbath song, the first time
i heard it, i didn't hear who it was and i swore it sounded like such a total
sg song (except for the lyrics). i dig it and it's kind of funny to hear a
band like sabbath start to sound like someone they inspired. then the solo
kicked in and i knew exactly who it was. same w/ kiss (pre original lineup),
they actually made a cool sounding record before psycho circus.

"spit&kick" action or something. kim came w/ 6 pack and a nonstop voice chip
or something. chris' shirt could be removed. i forget what matt did. anyway,
it was a while ago.
