Anyone who is going to any of the other tibetan freedom concerts who would
like an Australian shirt, would you like to do a swap?

Thanks...

Subject: Walpurgisnacht

Hello all,
I remember someone (was it Benjammin'?) inquiring about Walpurgisnacht
and where it appears in German literature. According to "Brockhaus"
(German encyclopedia), Walpurga (Walburga) was an Anglo-Saxon
"Benediktinerin" (ca. 710-779) who was a missionary in Germany
(Heidenheim an der Brenz). Also in the "Brockhaus" there is a woodcut
by Ernst Barlach which depicts the Walpurgisnacht from Goethe's drama
"Faust".

Below is the latest news-a bit late-regarding the celebratory activity.
Reminds me of the Celtic celebrations of Samhuain in Oct. and the one
marking spring--which I can't remember the name--as well.
