Is the alledged B-sides album just of Soundgarden, or is it for the whole
of Interscope Records? This would make it a viable statement.

It is just of Soundgarden. In other words, buy and enjoy...

Hi friends!

My interp of what our pal Ames said, SG making a Seal album, sounds
more to me like it's SG with more soul...if that's possible. But you =
know
what I mean! There are always so many different ways to describe an=20
album's sound that I don't think we'll really know until it comes out. I =
for
one trust Matt's opinion and what he's heard he really likes, so bring =
it on!

Anticipating floods of backlash, but doesn't Louder Than Love largely
sound like those big hair bands SG was trying to make fun of? Ultramega
was more bluesey, but LTL, with Big Dumb Sex, Get on the Snake, and Loud
Love, slotted in quite nicely with some big sex rock until Motorfinger
straightened them out again with a more psychedelic/grinding groove. If I
am missing the point and yes, yes, if indeed I miss the whole point of
SG's sarcasm, then are we supposed to believe that SG is totally not for
real? Or do they in fact fit into the metal crowd for some of their
career, and hence 'BADDEST HITS' fits?

first of all, how can we be so sure that this is a rarities album??? if you
can remember back to a-sides, these were songs that sold well, not the songs
that the band thought should be on a "greatest hits" album. i can imagine a
few released, but not commercialized songs (like 4th of july, overfloater).

on the baddest hits note, if it in fact is a rarities collection, would you
consider them "hits"? sounds odd to me

Perhaps SG is taking a cue from their pals DEVO. I believe their second
compilation album was entitled "Greatest Misses."

You know, I remember way back before Michael Jackson when the word "Bad"
meant actually......you know.....bad. That is the joke behind "Baddest Hits"
I believe. If it's true, I can see this title as a totally SG double
entendre.

Last year Susan Silver said: "[Guitarist] Kim [Thayil] is primarily working
on it. It will make the perfect balance with the previous album, but it will
have a lot of obscure, previously released stuff. It'll be songs that were
released on 2,000-run singles in Japan, [that] type of stuff."
