First, how on earth did you manage to score a copy of this before October (Or is it one of those mag's that's like a month ahead of everything?) And what's with the incoprehensiveness of the whole article??!?! By the way, this is not a flame, just a very harsh critiscism on the Mag review. I love the new picture! This should have been the cover of EM. EM is a "blues" CD and this picture can fit with almost all the songs. When he sings about Jeff Buckley (Wave Goodbye) you can see him saying these words as he sits there in this lonely place..... Try to stand up strong and brave when all you want to do Is lay down and die How long I've waited for an answer or a sign Lonely and weary from this troubled task of trying To wave goodbye EM is not Soundgarden and I love it... Has a Piano, must be Elton John. i dont hear an ounce of Elton in this song whatsoever! Elton wishes he had that type of vocal range. I hear more... Patsy Cline in the emotional onslaught than anything else, but i've never been too keen on R&B artists. Since Badmotorfinger was SG's last grunge album. When they broke out the so called Grunge era thats when they really became popular. I love BMF, LTL, and UMOK but I belive they found there true style w/ SU and DOTU. Since BMF only came in 32nd (somewhere around there) they are technically in 3rd. Its just the hard core fans like me and the list that put them in first. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 2 Sep 1999 22:18:59 PDT From: Dave George-Cosh Subject: Chris on MTV Video.. Hey y'all Go to MTV.com and then the headlines section, and at the 1:30 minute mark or so, you'll see a brief clip of Chris' new video, and Chris saying how he doesn't care about making a video ("If I didn't have to be in a video, I wouldn't be in it"). There's that Chris we all love. Here's a fast URL for y'all to feast on. I think you must need that dreaded RealPlayer though. Ha, I have a 56k and it seems fine for streaming net video to me.. http://www.mtv.com/mtv/realmedia/playra.cgi?/mtv/news/real/daily.rm And for the one's still on Arpanet, the short clip on Chris' video has Chris sitting in a kitchen, head against a wall singing the first verse on CCM. I personally thought that the video would have Chris in some office type environment, as possible a mail boy, and his boss is like, Nicole Kidman and forces him to have wild, dirty sex with him. No wait, that's my fantasy. Ah shit. To the newbie. My suggestion is to lurk for a while, get a feel of the list. A lot of people would flame you for posting something totally redundant to Soundgarden, such as myself, but hang in there.
