"Outshined" was an instant favorite from Badmotorfinger (as if there were songs that weren't favorites), featuring a crunching opening riff and one of the most memorable and repeated Soundgarden lyrics, "I'm looking California, and feeling Minnesota." The lyric even inspired a movie called "Feeling Minnesota" in 1996, though Soundgarden is not featured on the soundtrack. The video for "Outshined" was produced by Johnathan Dayton and Valeria Faris. The song was the song of the month in January 1997.
