"Spoonman" was the first single to be released from 1994's Superunknown. A
week before that album's release, however, the song was featured on a
compilation entitled Seismic Shredders - Rawk Tuneup 3 - Aftershock
Rumblings From The 21st Floor, a benefit for the American Red
Cross.
Perhaps the most notable result of "Spoonman"'s release was the sudden fame of Artis the Spoonman, a Seattle-based spoon artist. Featured in the video, he quickly became a world-wide phenomenon.
